Convenient hotel for city visit reasonably priced + Close to city. Easy walking to wharf area and shops. Roomy bedroom with lounge area. Clean. Had eco-friendly philosophy. − Breakfast was expensive and barista coffee was extra for brekky but they didn’t tell us that until we were charged. Most days we went to a convenient cafe nearby for breakfast.

The stay was disappointing, with no one at reception on arrival, poorly sealed windows that let in constant noise, and a + The location was great. A short walk from the city centre and close to the ferry terminal. − When we arrived there was no one on reception. I was standing there a few minutes before anyone came to check me in. The windows did not close properly and with the wind, howled and whistled all night long. The walls are very thin and there were people partying and smoking in the room next door. Security did knock on the door and they turned the music off however continued to carry on until 5:30 in the morning.

As above + We really couldn’t have wished for anything more. Easy to find, handy location, friendly staff & we loved the breakfast. There really wasn’t anything to find fault with & the free parking was a bonus! − Nothing

the location was very good for us - 6 minutes walk to the bus and train stations. + I liked the voucher system they used to reward guests who didnt want clean towels every day − we needed 2 singles but got 1 single and 1 queen which took up more space in the smallish room

+ We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Since we arrived early in the morning from Singapore, we had requested an early check-in. The hotel staff were very kind and gladly accommodated our request, which was a huge relief as we were extremely tired after a long flight. The beds in the room were very comfortable, and we had easy access to all the major landmarks..some within walking distance and others reachable by bus. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Gave it another go. And that’s a no from me. + So I get some random message saying hey we’re new and better, and as I visit Wellington a couple of times a month decide to give this place another go. Regret! Not only had it not improved it’s got worse!! One life working. Expensive bar. Poor customer service with staff constantly confused. Poor information in the rooms. Promise of sky movies on the tv but no actual sky movies. I travel for work and all I want is a quiet drink at the end of the day and some mindless movie before I sleep. But limited needs aren’t met here. Last stay. This time I promise.

Comfortable but inconsistent experience + For the price paid our stay was fine, however if it had been any more expensive I would have been very disappointed. While the beds were comfortable and the central areas were clean other aspects of the hotel were very dated and in need of some attention. The pictures taken to advertise the hotel didn’t tell the whole picture of unrenovated bathrooms, and shabby interiors. The breakfast was disappointing, with the food obviously not being refreshed and raising my concerns about food safety given the appearance of the food: overcooked eggs, dried out sausages and baked beans with a crust. Additionally at check in time there was only one person on the reception desk which resulted in a wait to check in. Staff were otherwise helpful and friendly. The hotel was similar to an ibis or other budget hotel but without the consistency of the experience. I’d recommend for short stays where you are spending time outside the hotel.

Centrally located, simple hotel. + This hotel provided adequate accommodation and breakfast provisions. It is located within walking distance of many sights but lacks character and the room, despite being 23m seemed smaller. It lacked little touches that could have made it much better, such as quality bathroom amenities (shampoo & conditioner) or barista coffee at breakfast. If you are driving, be aware that negotiating the parking area is very tight.
