Really great stay + Nice views. Hotel looks clean and new. Very friendly staff. The hotel is quite remote and small. So if you are ok with relaxing then it is a great hotel. The food was amazing both dinner and breakfast was really great. − Nothing much. Note that there isn’t a gym in the hotel but that was ok.

Three very enjoyable nights in a comfortable peaceful location + It is well maintained, in a beautiful location, away from the noise of Kandy. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The food was very good. Enjoyed the pool. We would go back. − There is a section which had families/children in it, which bothered us, but they kindly moved us to the non-children section which was fine. Not an issue for us but it is 5-6km from Kandy which takes c.20 minutes by car so if you want to be in the city centre for some reason one to note.

Good Location but lacks Service. + Location is very good near the dam waters. The guests are welcomed in a traditional way which was nice. A butler is assigned on check in. A mobile is provided to connect quickly with the butler. This is a nice experience. − Located in a very nice place but no way to walk around and enjoy. Room Service was poor. No replenishment of water or coffee / tea unless asked for. No numbers provided to call for Service or contacting reception, from room. Not value for money.

Perfect place to switch off! + Fabulous location! Wonderful and very kind staff. My mother, who has mobility issues, was so well looked after. Perfect place to relax and unwind! And those amazing bird songs are to die for! − Probably some may find it quite isolated from main town of Kandy.

+ Good position, beautiful design, large room, amazing pool. Very responsive management and friendly, helpful staff. − Our room and parts of the hotel were slightly tired. eg Shower grout needed a refresh, one sink pop up drain didn't work properly even after it was fixed. Some corridor up lights weren't working. These were minor issues but at this price point should be addressed.

+ The check in was wonderful. The drums, the singing and the sweets with the welcome drink. The lady who did the check in was professional. Special shoutout to our personal butler, Dilshara. She was there for us and took care of us very nicely. We really enjoyed the Sinhalese and Tamil New Year celebrations. − The check out was bad. I informed the receptionist that my bank card doesn’t work with HNB card machines and the lady who did the check in told us she is going to make an offline payment. Whatever the method she used, she made a successful transaction. The reception called two gentleman from the back office and they were blatantly checking in front of me whether I used the same card to pay for the check in rather than asking from me. No matter how many times I told them it will not work in HNB machines, the gentleman was not listening. After so many attempts they were successful in making the transaction but that left a bitter not in my mind after a wonderful stay.

+ The location. Away from the hustle bustle of the main town. Very peaceful and serene. Our room on the LG level was superb. You walk out straight on to the grass. Lovely to sit out and enjoy a cup of tea in silence. Service is excellent. − Wish they could add another restaurant either a cafe with quick bites and tea/coffee or another cuisine just for Variety. Main town is almost 30 mins away, so dinner options are limited.

This is a Jetwing you can skip + The staff are quite friendly. The location along the river is beautiful and the pool is a really good size if you want to swim. − We came from Jetwing Vil Uyana, which was incredible. Jetwing Kandy is a massive step down from Vil Uyana. It’s a very corporate hotel. Food is OK but everything is from a set menu. Selection isn’t amazing either. Often you order things and they get missed so you have to ask again. Our room was average but not anything to write home about. Toilet leaked all over the floor, which we had to report. There’s very little to do at the hotel apart from eat, sleep or swim. The location is beautiful but remote and not that close to Kandy. Honestly we were pretty disappointed with this hotel. It’s not value for money, which is a shame as we loved Vil Uyana a lot.
