Silver Naga Has It All 💜 + We really enjoyed our stay at Silver Naga. From the location to the most breath taking views your going to get, I highly recommend staying here. The rooms are a little dated, but clean...the view il say again makes up for this 👍The location of the hotel is close to so many eating options you cant go wrong. Plus once again the pool with the view...You would be silly not to stay here. Cant wait to come back 🥰

Great View, Great Staff, Great Location + Silver Naga is ON the River... and my room, with a balcony, faces both the river and the wonderful mountain. Incredible View! The staff is VERY FRIENDLY and helpful. The hotel is located at the heart of the city where all the restaurants, night market, coffee shops are located at. I like this hotel. It has a "local feel" instead of the international chain feel. It is quiet.. Key: the views from my room and from the pool area are great !

Would recommend! + Great location right on the river, beautiful views from the infinity pool, good value for money, large breakfast buffet, they have yoga on a few times each day and they also do a 2-for-1 cocktail hour by the pool which is awesome! Would stay again!

Decent option in central VV + Great location, very comfortable bed and a solid breakfast, all held together by the excellent Phong, who became a de facto concierge for not only us but also friends staying in other properties. The room itself was OK, the shower likewise. Great sunset / mountain view from the (cold!) pool if you're not staying in a river view room

Old/tired rooms, but a good hotel overall + Stayed here for one night in February 2024. Pros: 1) The location is great. It is in the heart of the town with several restaurants and shops nearby. The night market is location right behind the hotel. 2) The hotel is located right on the bank of the river offering great views from our rooms. 3) The hotel common area / lobby were great. 4) The front desk staff spoke good English and the check-in/check-out process was efficient. 5) The WIFI was free and the speed/connectivity was good. 6) The tariff was reasonable. 7) The rooms and bathrooms were big and clean. Cons: 1) Our rooms looked tired with several loose floor tiles. 2) The bath area lacked basic amenities like a soap stand.

+ This hotel, along with several others, offers a balcony with a great view of the river, mountains behind and passing hot air balloons but beware of the boat noise if spending any time in the room during the day. Our room was in great need of an update. Torn curtains and comforter, a safe too small for a 14” laptop, redundant wall brackets from long removed towel bars, and low powered mismatched lighting were poor choices for replacing whatever had been there originally. Room chair and free-standing closet, like many chairs in the restaurant, remain unstable even with added unconcealed steel angle brackets. The desk cabinet was left askew presumably by the previous guest for receptacle access. This is the only hotel in our >50 days in SE Asia where a receptacle adapter was needed for charging devices. Room was not cleaned even with the tag hung on doorknob which may explain the long black hair in the bathroom seen on our arrival and the floor under the bed that hadn’t been swe…

A bit hit or miss + A real mixed bag! Great view from the balcony, but WOW it was super noisy when the boats were going up and down, which happened at multiple points through the day. There were only 2 loungers at the pool, and they were a strange shape (meaning no lounging by the pool). There were dogs in the restaurant and lobby and the pool had excrement in it, which was very poorly dealt with (but was eventually fished out). All that said, the location was great, staff were friendly and the room was comfy and cool (if a bit shabby). Yoga on site (for a fee) was good and the laundry service was quick. Breakfast was basic, but they made your eggs to order and had plentiful coffee. The view over the river from the high floor room was what made it for us - even with the dreadful noise, which we just got used to (and wasn’t 24/7). I can’t imagine you’ll get a much better vista in town than here, at this price point. But I’d only stay on this side of the hotel - town side would not be …

+ Hotellet är okej men inte mer. Vi blev väldigt störda av stojiga grannar våningen ovanför vilket kanske drar ner betyget.

+ The pool was very dirty when we arrived and we told the staff. After 3 days it had been cleaned. But we couldn’t use it for 3 days! The hotel room cleaning was erratic. And the breakfast was limited. Staff were nice.

+ This is an old run doen facility that tries to be a 3-star hotel. The door was old and the lock mechanism would notock properly. Bathroom had no hot water. Bathroom light over the shower did not work as well. Don't book unless under $10/day. I checkdd put the same day i checked in and booked another hotel.

One of the worst hotel in my life + If you spend over $80 per night and get a hotel where the AC is not working properly in excessive hot weather, because of which I could not sleep for 3 nights, the room is not clean, the closet door is broken, what would you say to that hotel?? The lock on the front door of the room was broken and not secure. And what about the breakfast? I have never seen such a bad and small portion breakfast in any hotel in my life. It seemed that even the breakfast in budget backpacker hotels is better than this. Please Do not book this hotel.

Very mixed bag. + Unbelievable view from hotel and room are the positive and they are without doubt excellent. The hotel itself though is tired. The pool area needs tidied up with furniture replaced. Breakfast was basic, coffee machine didn't work, had to hand pump hot water from a flask to make a Nescafé instant coffee, toaster didn't work.... Room was huge, with two balconies but on the downside we had to get the janitor to unlock the bathroom using a screwdriver on entering the room and the AC didn't work at all. Had two fans, one of which was noisy when it was turning. Not sure the staff working their had their hearts in the job. Be aware if you book this is a good location but is a very, very basic standard once inside. I hope at some point they get it right.

Stay at your own risk + I recently stayed at Silver Naga in my trip to Vang Vieng with my boyfriend for 2 days. On the 2nd day we left for our day tour and as asked by us, housekeeping staffs cleaned our room when we were not there. We had kept 40000 THB and 500 USD in separate envelopes in our luggage which was zipped up. The next morning before checking out when we were checking the cash, we saw 20000 THB and 200 USD missing from our envelopes. After reporting it to the hotel management and lodging a complaint to the police, they interviewed the housekeeping staffs and locked one of them up in prison too but ultimately let her go due to lack of evidence. Remember this person was locked up because 2 of her other colleagues said that they saw her opening our bags, which should be evidence enough but we did not get our money back in the end despite having false hopes from the Silver Naga hotel management and the police.

Mouldy room, mouldy elevator, poor breakfast selection, run down. + The Silver Naga Hotel was an abomination. We were assigned a room which smelled so much of mould that our lungs hurt from breathing it in. The ceiling had a big stain on it where the mould had been and which had been painted over. The lock on the room did not work, and had been replaced by a cheap padlock. We were given a different room, with a nice view, but with a lock that kept getting stuck and was never fixed. The grouting around the bath tub was old, cracked and grey, and the shower head full of green lime stone. The elevator shaft is full of mould which you can smell clearly, and our family had to hold our breath every time we stepped into the elevator and only breathe after exiting. The pool, which is heavily featured in the advertising for the hotel, is under construction, empty of water with bricks around it. The breakfast selection was among the worst we have ever seen: There was one (1) juice …
