Excellent vibe authentic hotel in city center + Very lovely stay with excellent service - slow pace not many customers because of low season. Excellent service good food friendly and available staff / super massage good value for money - walking distance from most key sights − No steam room / sauna in the spa

Old world charm and lovely staff. + A beautiful old French style hotel set within walking distance of town. The rooms were large and really nicely decorated and the pool was much appreciated in the heat of the summer. The staff were exceptional - they absolutely made the trip and were warm and welcoming to the extreme. − The food was fine but rather overpriced vs other hotels / in town. I was there over the quiet time so it may be that this is different in high season when more people are around. There's no lift (but staff on hand to help with luggage).

Beautiful heritage hotel + Beautiful heritage hotel with great service. The staff were very helpful. The room was lovely, with high ceilings and period decoration. As we were there during low season, breakfast was cooked to order, and there were plenty of Western and local options to choose from, including fresh fruit, eggs, etc. Nice pool and gardens. The hotel is only 10-15 minutes walk from sights such as Patuxai, Wat Sisaket and the riverfront (although Vientiane is not great for walking due to the traffic and the broken or obstructed pavements). − There was noise at night from some nearby bars playing loud music until 2am. Perhaps a room facing the other direction would have been quieter.

Unsatisfied and disappointed + The pool is nice and the staff are friendly − The noise from the nearby club is really loud in the evening and it goes till 2-3am everyday; our sleeping quality was so poor. This is a huge disappointment. The AC unit is quite old hence more noises. The bathroom is old hence water marks everywhere. The food is okay but the prices are quite high - more expensive than nice restaurants outside. Because there are no good food options nearby, especially in the evening, so we decided to eat mostly at the hotel, but the value for money is considered low. The gym space can only allow one person at a time and has no window, it is literally like walking into a sauna closet.
