Great stay, friendly helpful staff + Large spacious room, modern and clean. Super comfy bed Great breakfast − Location a little away from main area of bars and restaurants however a fabulous Indian restaurant just around the corner.

We would definitely recommend The Urbanite. + We had stayed at the Urbanite hotel 2 years previously and as we had enjoyed it so much the first time round we had decided to book it again and we weren't disappointed. Our room was more like an apartment than a hotel room and was very spacious, quiet and clean. The breakfast was very good, there was a lot of choice and we really enjoyed it. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and for much of the time had it to ourselves. The receptionist staff were kind courteous and were also friendly and informative and a special mention must be made of Deth and Kham who went out of their way to be of assistance.

The apartment and cleanliness were great. I would stay again. + The rooms were spacious and clean. − Only one thing, the breakfast- hot food was cold every morning. I actually turned some of the warmers on. The fried eggs were cold as was the bacon and other dishes in the warmers. The plates were not removed from the tables once finished and we ended up with a pile of plates in front of us. The food and juice wasn’t replenished as would be expected. We usually ate at 8 am. Although we noticed a little bit of service when the management were dining.

+ Not a room but a suite. For a 77yo chap travelling with 7kg backpack, the WASHING MACHINE in my suite was most welcome! Laundry dried on the rack on the tiny balcony in little more than hour. A lovely swimming pool, better than most in hotels. Very helpful receptionist with good English. Located near the Vientiane 'Arc de Triomphe' and embassies, the area was good. I walked the 2km into the location of the big wats etc near the Mekong and 2km in the opposite direction to the war museum and the amzing gold stupa, so access to attractions was fine. A couple of decent restaurants are a short walk away. Hotplate, microwave etc were provided too. I didn't use them. I am scheduled to stay again - GRAND! − I carry my own ground coffee and cup because very few hotels supply decent-sized mugs. No tea-towel of kitchen paper for the minor job of drying my mug and filter
