Perfect stay in Luang Prabang + We spent a whole week at Kiridara. What a lovely place. Just a short walk from the center of Luang Prabang. That makes it very quiet, in comparison to the excitement of the town. Restaurant is absolutely gorgeous for breakfast and dinner. Lovely pool. If you prefer not to walk, Kiridara offers free shuttle to town. Much appreciated and efficient. Special thanks to Simon and Léa. Joyce and Normand, Montreal, Canada

Great stay at a luxury hotel + I stayed here for a few days in January at the end of my time in Luang Prabang. The hotel is very central and only a 5-10 min ride away to the centre or you can walk. The hotel offers a shuttle and unlike lots of hotels this is not timed but you can get a ride anytime (up to 2100 I think) and pick up back. The hotel grounds are lovely and there were couples and maybe only one family so not too many kids around so that was good for sitting peacefully at pool area. The pool area was lovely lots of space to sit and a bar. The bar wasn’t always manned but you could go up to the restaurant to order. The food and drinks were lovely and the breakfast one of the better ones (I was in Asia for 2 months so this was at the top end!) My room was lovely and big and lots of space. All in all a great stay and staff so helpful and kind. I loved my stay.

An oasis of calmness, comfort and good service. + If you are tired, jet-lagged, overwhelmed by all those new impressions in Southern Asia, and not accustomed to 35 degrees in March, Kiridara is the hotel you need. The hotel is a true oasis of calmness and comfort that takes care of your needs. Stylish, spacious and comfortable rooms, a beautiful swimming pool, friendly faces at the reception desk and terrific food at the hotel's restaurant were all that we needed to feel truly at ease in this new environment. Great base camp for day trips in this exciting country, where you can come back, relax and enjoy great food in the evening, to refill your batteries before going out the day after. Many thanks for having us - my whole family (including teenage kids) loved it.

Best breakfast ever!! + It was our first time in Luang Prabang, and we picked Kiridara based on other reviews. Rest-assured, it was a smart choice. The location was great. While not in the center, there is a market super close and a supermarket about 10 minutes away. For the rest the hotel offers a free shuttle which is on call until about 9 pm, and takes you more or less everywhere you need to go. The rooms were clean, nicely layed out and offered everything you need. If something was wrong, it was fixed quickly. The pool was refreshing and offered a great view. The drinks from then pool bar were delicious. The highlight was the breakfast. There was a small, but nice buffet plus a menu. The a la carte menu was the biggest plus. You could pick up to four dishes, each from one category, like eggs, hearty or sweet. Be sure to eat yourself through all the options, while you stay - it‘s worth it! All in all a great stay, and we will come back to Kiridara for sure for our next st…

Boutique hotel in Luang Prabang + Average boutique hotel. We had a nice, large hotel. No upgrades offered. There is NO elevators. You will be walking to your room, several stairs to carry your luggage to and from. Staff helped with luggage transport but if you have medical issues that prevents you from heavy lifting and walking up flights of stairs, I probably would not stay here. Hotel is not within walking distance to the night markets. They do offer a shuttle that can take you there if you want and they will pick you up after also. Breakfast buffet was good. They do have a menu that you can also order from, for free. They also have a coffee bar that can make lattes, cappucinos, etc for you. Would I stay here again? Yes I would. The staff is friendly and you are away from the noise of the night markets. The shuttle to/from to the night markets is a plus so you don't have to pay for transportation.

Nice hotel + An excellent hotel. Sure the location is a little out of town but they offer free shuttles and bicycles. The rooms are superb. The breakfast A La Carte menu is good. A peaceful and relaxing location. The excellent staff, delicious food, peaceful ambiance, and stunning views made it a memorable experience.

Nice quiet, relaxing hotel + We arranged for train pickup. Very convenient. The staff was super nice. The room was rustic and relaxing.. this place had all of the amenities needed/wanted, including a complimentary shuttle drop off/pick up for the night market. I felt that the menu was a bit too fancy for the area/design of the hotel, although what I had was good. Some of the breakfast items were served cold when they should have been hot they do not have sterno/ chafing dishes to keep them warm. The pool was nice, although slippery with no safety rail & with all black tiles & no lights, hard to determine next step down. The hot sauna/steam room, exfoliating scrub & massage was excellent! The pedicure was NOT a pedicure- very disappointing. Even though the girl did a good job of filing and shaping, painting. There was no exfoliation for the bottom of the feet/heel, exfoliation for the legs or massage. The water was COLD & NOT hot. I was seated on an old sunken-in love seat that was u…

+ This is a wonderful little hotel. Set a short distance out of town with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains providing a serene tranquil environment. The short trip into the laid back town of Luang Prabang is easily accessible with the hotel providing transport to and from on demand to guests. The pool area has sufficient loungers for guests and also a pool bar. The restaurant serves an A la Carte breakfast each morning along side the fruit and pastries buffet all overseen by the convivial French maitre de There is a gym and also a Spa facility The rooms are spacious with balconies to enjoy the views. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough

A little gem in Luang Prabang + Great location, could see the Golden Temple. Staff was great. The food and drinks really good. The F&B manager was wonderful. Room was rustic but big. There’s a lovely tub to enjoy. They have this neat stand for your phone, so when you play music it acts as a speaker and it’s made of bamboo. Nice pool. Manager was very helpful.

Stay here. + The staff are very welcoming. Spacious, comfortable rooms - ours had a little garden looking down on to the pool. Breakfast is substantial and very good. There is a minibus service provided for the short ride into town. I would highly recommend this hotel.

+ This was a good resort to stay compared to some of the smaller resorts in town. A bit removed, but walkable. Free shuttle to town was very good. Lots of stairs up to some of the room (77 by my count). Just be sure you know this before booking. Breakfast was great. Buffet plus ordering off the menu. Pool and deck facilities were great as well. Everything is a bit dated and faded (especially the gym equipment - some didn’t work). Our only issue with the place is the noise in the rooms with adjoining doors. We heard everything next door as there’s no sound proofing. 5:00 am wake up call whether we liked it or not.

+ Beautiful property, pool, breakfast lovely room. The gym was very limited and could use an upgrade. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again for sure.

Stairs, stairs and more stairs + OMG the stairs! Definitely not for anyone who is mobility challenged. Or has young children. Or is somewhat older. There is no lift. We counted 70 stairs up to our room. Not what we wanted after a full and tiring day of sightseeing. Breakfast is fine enough, somewhat limited, not particularly bountiful. It is a distance from town, through they do offer a complimentary shuttle. They provide nothing in the room, even charged us a whopping $4 USD for a small bottle of water we took from the minibar. Definitely the least of the hotels we stayed in through our travels to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
