Live like a king at Castle House in Reykjavik! + The location was perfect. It was walking distance to the main BSI bus terminal which was extremely convenient for all of our tours. The apartment was extremely clean. We loved the location and architecture of the building. The microwave and mini refrigerator were perfect amenities for budgeting and preparing our own quick meals from the Bonus store. − I really had no complaints about the property itself, but if I had a suggestion it would be to just check and refill soap dispensers. Our soap dispenser in the shower was empty so we had to use the other one in the bathroom.

dated, expensive, would not stay again + location, internet wifi − hard beds, everything dated, and basic. towels were mostly threadbare, right under the flight path for the airport, started at 8 and continued all day. bad cutains on windows, light through easily. certainly not a luxury hotel, and thr price was ridiculous for what we got

Lovely stay, great location. Into + Easy access to downtown, reasonable walk to free unmetered street parking. Comfortable bed, hot shower with great water pressure. Amenities set up with kitchen, dishwasher, iron, heated bathroom floor in our unit, everything so cozy. Responsive host, easy access via keypad. Highly recommend. − Older building so windows had to stay open. In the US I would have worried about security being on the ground floor, but all was quiet and secure.

Central location for Reykjavik Half Marathon + Was in town for the Reykjavik Half Marathon and chose this property because of its ideal location between the start and finish of the race, easy walking distance to key sites like Hallgrimskirkja, Harpa, bus terminal, restaurants. The property was clean, had kitchenette with basic supplies, was pretty quiet despite central location. − The keypad for entry to the front door was a convenient feature; however, mine malfunctioned in the middle of the night and the electronic voice and alarm kept going off. Fortunately, there is a 24/7 number to call, I was able to reach someone and the issue was addressed on a Saturday morning.

Enjoyed the location + Enjoyed the location, easy walking distance to museums, entertainment and sites. Enjoyed that it was set into a garden area, made it super quiet. − Extremely small, no table or desk on either side of the bed. Bed did not have any support for sitting. In fact the bed was up against the heating elements. Provided a French press but no coffee for the press. Would be better if it had a small pod machine as all the other locations . Paying for parking was on the street via Parka App. It was confusing as nothing is written about how long you can stay in one spot or what to do if you arrive outside of the window for payment. Parking a whole day was less than parking lots for attractions.

Overall, very comfortable. + Location was central and the apartment was clean and well equipped. − Steep stairs leading up to the apartment and difficult to carry luggage. I wrenched my back and suffered for a few days. Also, the website lists parking as a benefit that customers enjoy (implying they provide parking). There is no parking except on the street and beware of the fines for not paying.
