The staff weren’t as nice as the room + The room was spacious and clean. Facilities were good. − Staff did not communicate at all during check in and kept asking questions and looking at my ID without explaining why. We were left very confused during the whole process. They then mentioned how breakfast was at a certain time and would we like it, I thought it was included with the room so said yes and then they tried to charge us £25 without explaining what it was for. When they said it was for breakfast I then said no. They then asked for £20 instead without explaining and eventually said it was a security deposit. We had had a very long day and a long walk to the hotel so we’re hoping for a smooth check in at 11pm at night. Staff were not welcoming at all and didn’t even direct us on how to get to our room.
