A good weekend away at any time of year + Friendly staff, comfy big bed, fluffy towels, excellent food. The Copthorne is situated very close to Merry Hill shopping centre which is enormous with hundreds of shops. It is also within easy reach of several attractions such as the Black Country museum, Safari park and Zoo. − Parking can be difficult on a busy Saturday night.

Okay costly for what you get. + The staff were amazing, my room allocated was beautiful and the view was so pretty. My first time staying here. − The tiredness of decor all paint chipped. The ventilation was poor and I think the in room drink facilities could be better so basic and the kettle was tired. Packet sauce sachets in the restaurant were horrible but beautiful cloth napkins!!!

+ The place is clean, in a good location, it was too warm at night so couldn't sleep due to the warm weather. − There is no air-conditioning and couldn't sleep well,due to the heat.

+ The rooms are always comfortable, the staff are always amazing. The breakfast is always good value- although as a vegetarian, I was disappointed that there were no mushrooms this visit. Big shout out to the chap at reception who managed to find us some scales so we could weigh our luggage before heading to Heathrow Airport! − Nothing major - Perhaps a few more toilets rolls in the bathroom!

Excellent facilities and friendly staff + Location and hotel facilities were excellent − We requested 2 x rooms next to each other and at the last minute we were told that this was not possible we received a text just after 8am in the morning asking what time we were leaving our room which was not appreciated and very poor customer service.

− The problem is that there's no air conditioning in the rooms, and during the summer, the temperature in the room got really bad....

Visiting the midlands + Excellent location, very friendly staff who went out of their way to help. We didnt have any shampoo in the container. My partner mentioned it when we went down for breakfast, when we went back up to the room it had been filled. − Nothing.
