Great Hotel in the middle of the jungle with extraordinarily friendly owners + Very nice hotel on a hill in the middle of the jungle with a view of the many islands. The whole team with the Swiss hotel owners Anja and Thomas were very friendly. I was also grateful for the super adventure tips from Anja. The food was also very good, the coconut cream with chia seeds and passion fruit makes Anja herself, could hardly wait until I got it again for breakfast. The Capuchin Aeffchen were about 5 metres on the tree at the hotel. I liked it very much, would come back here anytime. Thanks again!

Perfection + We stayed here for 2 nights in April in order to visit Tortuga Island. From the start communication with the hotel was fantastic, they were really responsive and helpful with my questions - recommending tours, offering to book taxis etc, Just really good service. At the hotel ,the service was also fantastic. All the staff we met were extremely courteous , polite, incredibly attentive and helpful. It was a very positive experience. We arrived by ferry and got a taxi to the hotel which cost $15. The roads around the hotel are rough and the hill up to the property is very steep, just something to consider if you are driving. This hotel has the most amazing view of Tortuga island. There are superb views from the pool, rooms, restaurant. It is in a really stunning location and we were so impressed. We loved the view from the shower! Just amazing. The breakfast was great (apart from the sausage mixed in with the plantain which was a shock to bite into as a vegan!). One mor…

+ The only reason for a four instead of a five star is that we had a mix up with the hotel getting our reservation from Expedia. The hotel was full so the solution the manager had was for us to stay in the room they usually have guides stay in along with a partial refund of our costs. Now the room and situation wasn't great but the hotel general area and the restaurant was. We are planning on going back at some time next year.

+ Staff were exceptionally kind and helpful in all aspects of their service. Small resort with few guests meant that the service felt very personal and the staff were very attentive to everyone staying there. Everything was very clean, and the one restaurant on the property had great food. There are limited dining options onsite and in the immediate area, but we were happy with the restaurant. It is a little off the beaten path, and not easily walkable to beaches or other amenities, so a car would be ideal if staying here. Staff at the front desk able to assist in booking local tours, but a highlight of the property is that we had the place practically to ourselves all day when most travelers left or were off doing excursions

+ Pros: Beautiful location with an amazing view. Quiet and secluded location. Clean Cons: Air conditioning had issues. Bathroom window was broken so wouldn’t open to let out steam. Parking was limited and tight. Room was very hot upon arrival leaving the flowers left in the room wilted.

+ Such an amazing and peaceful escape in one of the most beautiful areas of Costa Rica. The pool was pure heaven and the view from there was breathtaking. The staff were all so helpful and kind, and Jose was wonderful and especially helpful answering all our questions and providing many recommendations. We would love to come back someday!

+ Staff here was absolutely wonderful. Thank you all for your help with our luggage. lots of stairs in this place. The Infinity pool was beautiful. At the pool bar they make incredible caiperaina. The restaurant was delicious. And the staff there was incredible as well. We had two different rooms here because of the stair situation. And both of them were so beautiful. The road coming up here is very rocky with lots of potholes so a four-wheel drive would be best. Parking is at a minimal for their guests. Had some issues with that for sure. We go in and out a lot.

+ The views were incredible and the food at the restaurant were really good. The workers slap very nice and accommodating. However our room had bugs and ants all over it; bathroom, floor and even the bed. It’s unfortunate because this is a very nice / scenic / quiet spot.

+ This place has so much potential, I’m not sure if it’s more cause we were there on the beginning of the off season or what. The location is remote, the small town near by, Paquera, has a very small small grocery store and there isn’t much else around to do or purchase food at. The restaurants VERY expensive for the quality of the food. In our 10 days there it was our most expensive meal and the lowest quality. We did manage to find a delicious restaurant down toward the ferry, just past Bharia Rica bioluminescence tour called , el punto and we ate there a few nights. That place was amazing. The rooms were minimal for the cost and the amenities at the hotel were lacking, there was minimal staff nothing to really eat during the day. Breakfast was okay but the same exact thing every morning. Plus side there was tons of beautiful wildlife and flowers. The view is amazing and you can walk to playa orangio - we did see quite a few snakes on the walk. The beach was pretty littere…

A nice short stay, close to ferry + This is a good hotel with a stunning view— was a perfect one night stopover before taking the ferry. Very clean with friendly staff, great pool area with cabanas for shade while you enjoy the food. Smart tvs and air conditioning, we picked a room with a panoramic view of tortuga island— it was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast bar was poor quality, dinner was okay at best. Remote location, need 4x4 to access.

be careful which room you pick. + we ended up with a room that was below the restaurant. it had additional noises from the chairs moving and the water usage upstairs. the building it was in was older. the lunch we had at the restaurant was truly terrible. breakfast was average. they had plenty of variety. parking was not enough and so when we came back after an evening kayaking, we took the last spot which wasn't really a spot which was a little stressful. the road leading up there is extremely steep and rutted with lots of rocks. we did not have a problem with the vehicle we had and given that it was the dry season. I would be very cautious if it's raining season. the pool was lovely and The view that's truly beautiful.

Stay in Paradise + Our only regret is that we only stayed here 1 night. The location, views from the rooms, pool and restaurant, the amenities, and service were top tier luxury. Highly recommend!

Amazing hotel! + All I can say is WOW! This hotel is luxury on a budget. My family was blown away by the view (from room, pool, restaurant), the friendly and helpful staff, the delicious breakfast, amazing infinity pool, and fresh flowers decorating our room. 2 nights was NOT enough! Beautiful Organos Beach was minutes away, and it is also close to the Paquera Ferry, great restaurants and bioluminescence and other tours. While enjoying the pool, we watched Scarlet Macaws fly overhead and Howler Monkeys playing in the trees. Such a special place!!!

Great hotel close to ferry + We spent 2 nights at Vista las Islas while visiting the Nicoya Peninsula. Communication with the hotel was excellent and Anja was very helpful in setting up our taxis to and from the ferry as well as for a nature walk in Curu Wildlife Refuge with Milton Hancock. We loved the outdoor restaurant with beautiful views of the Gulf of Nicoya. Staff did not speak a lot of English but were very friendly. Food was good but service was slow. Our room was at the very bottom of the hill so it was a steep climb on stairs and a ramp to reach the room each time. Dragging our luggage up to Reception on our last day was a bit of a struggle. Our balcony had a beautiful view and comfortable chairs. It was lovely to have fresh flowers decorating the bathroom upon arrival.
