Best massage + I had a massage booked for 2/8 before the Super Bowl with Leydi. This might have been the best massage I’ve ever had. I was sent into a different world. It’s a little pricey but worth every penny or Colón!

Not a bad resort, id rate as a 3.5 + We arrived at the resort after about 45 min drive from the airport. Upon arrival check in was quick, we received 2 towel cards and our room key as well as a map of the resort. We were picked up by the trolly and taken to the hotel our room was 2318. To note there is no elevator. The room was standard with a king bed, fridge, coffee machine and 2 reusable glass bottles of water. The bed was fine, the fridge did not have anything in it. It is the first time for me being at an all inclusive and have limits on your meals. For instance you are only entitled to dinner the day of arrival and lunch the day you leave. It wasn't made clear to me that you are only able to have one seating at the buffet per meal unless you want to be charged. The buffet was decent, lots of pork options and lots of veggies and fresh fruit. The front desk lady who checked us in most times was unpleasant! The staff are not very attentive to remove plates or get you drinks. I…

A Little Bit of Paradise + We stayed here as an overnight before heading deeper into the country and stayed again after having to leave another resort that wasn’t what we expected. This resort is all at once upscale yet comfortable, family friendly yet romantic. Both pools are clean, with ample space so you don’t feel crowded. The larger pool has a swim up bar and smaller, roped off area where small children can safely splash. There is a cold plunge pool in that area too. The sunsets over playa Hermosa near the smaller pool and restaurant were absolutely magical every night. We got the meal package during our second stay. The cocktails were well-made and the quality and variety of food was awesome. You could try all kinds of Costa Rican dishes, fresh salads and fruits, even the non- CR dishes like French toast and pancakes were so very good. There was always two kinds of fresh juice in the morning too. It felt like you were eating in a big, beautiful family dining room. The staff …

The Gem of Costa Rica! + Second time round for us! Absolutely stunning vacation spot! From the moment we arrived, everything was truly amazing! Food, weather, beaches….but the staff and people in this resort made our experience! They are all so welcoming, helpful and always so happy! We were sad when our stay was over but know we will return again to this marvellous gem!

Beautiful area, hotel needs some work + I was here with a tour group. The location is beautiful! The hotel part of the resort needs some refurbishing. Our slide to the balcony we couldn’t get locked, though housekeeping locked it after cleaning the room. The desk chair was so badly stained, we wouldn’t sit on it without a hand towel on the seat. There were no chairs on the balcony. The A/C had one temperature, just a shade too warm, regardless of where the temp was set. The shower was EXTREMELY slippery! We put a washcloth down to stand on, to prevent falling. The food was good, the pools were nice and the transportation was great.

I would recommend my ex wife come here + This place is awful. Amenities are few and far between - most of which do not work. The shuttle service is pretty much “whenever I want to take you there if I feel like it we might get close.” There is no consistency or schedule. The TV in the living room won’t even turn on. Not a huge deal because the one in the bedroom works and we didn’t use it often but having it at all would’ve been nice if we had the kids. The beach is an absolute nightmare. The resort has about 25 or so chairs, of which only about 19 are functional. The garbage is pretty alarming, it’s not well cared for. The rocks and walls and ledges are all full of plastic bottles and other trash. We stayed in one of the villas and the resident across from us (permanent resident), who has a private parking pad - parked his vehicle in the lot next to us which was shared by the other 3 villas we stayed in so we had to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up which was steep enou…

No hot water for showers + The rooms were fine. Basic but clean. The hotel is not on the beach. It is on a hill and a good walk to the beach. There is a shuttle. Try to get a room on the lower levels as the walk uphill if you are at the top level is difficult. Biggest disappointment was that there was no hot water for showers for our entire stay, despite being told it would be repaired. We later learned from others that they did not have hot water either. We had al a carte breakfast at the restaurant on site which was very good.

Great views, amenities, and service! + The resort was situated on the beach with lovely views. I could view a remarkable sunset every evening on the patio surrounding the pool with a happy hour drink to enjoy. The pool was large and provided plenty of lounge chairs and a few cabanas. The entire facility was large but it contained several more cozy restaurants with excellent food. I would recommend making a reservation. However, the central bar also served food from each restaurant. The rooms were large and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at this resort again.

Bathroom flood + We were given a room with a defective toilet. Upon entering our room to prepare for dinner, we encountered an inch of water on the bathroom floor that was beginning to flow into the hallway. We called maintenance and were told it would be taken care of. Returned from dinner and still not taken care of. We were moved to another room and requested a reimbursement for our inconvenience. However, nothing was done about our request.

Villa Sol - Worth the $$ + Playa Hermosa beach is decent. Not what I was expecting but more than fine. The restaurants along the beach were great. Villa Sol pools were great, swim up bar was awesome, and our villa was perfect. We had our own pool which was nice to chill out in later in the day. Staff was amazing.

Good Villa 32 + Our Villa had everything you could want except an oven but it did have a large toaster oven and an air fryer. We had a Blackstone which we did most of our cooking. The resort had trucks with seating in the back that took you all around the complex to the pool, restaurant or beach. The all inclusive food and drink extra at $75 for the day was a good bargain with alcohol drinks to 11 pm and 12 pm on the weekend. It was cheaper if you opted for two or more days. The local restaurants were also good, Coco Viquez, Roberto’s etc. our Villa had its own pool which was a blessing as most days were in the mid 30’s and the A/C was great at night.

I dont understand the negative reviews- this place is perfection! + We just returned home and are already planning our next stay. Based on other reviews I had low expectations. However I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of our villa. It was tastefully decorated, modern and in good working condition. We had hot water, working air conditioner and had no issues with wifi. The resort itself is in a great location and well kept. The shuttles were a convenient way to get around the resort. Our family enjoyed the wet bar and all activities offered on the resort. The beach is clean, safe and the sunsets were breathtaking. The restaurant had fresh food and good service. I will certainly recommend this resort to others and our family is looking forward to coming back next year

WORST RESORT EVER! PLEASE READ ! + I honestly don’t even know where to start—this was easily one of the worst resort experiences I’ve ever had. We went for a wedding and it was “ all inclusive “ for us yet it wasn’t. Food was probably the worst thing I’ve ever had. You would think the resort would change up the cuisine each night… nope same food everyday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They don’t have a set bartender so anyone who works at Villa Sol is your bartender and each drink tastes different. I’m not sure if they are in shortage of water in Villa sol but it was very hard to find any on resort. We stayed for a total of 6 nights and our room was “cleaned” one time. They say the shuttle stops by the beach every 12 minutes to pick up customers… that’s a lie we waited over 45 minutes each as they only have 1 shuttle running. Over all this resort was absolutely terrible nothing good came from this trip besides seeing my friend get married. Im telling you now don’t waste your mone…

Run away!! + We stayed here as a layover before catching an early morning flight. The hotel boasts on their landing page about their proximity to the airport. We weren’t expecting much, but it was terrible. Run to anywhere else. It’s currently 11:00pm. We have a 7:40am flight. And they have music blasting. It’s worse than staying next to a club. And I’d understand if the place was filled with people, but it’s completely empty on the deck. The people enjoying this the most are staff.

so-so + Resort is just so-so. Food isnt great. Not many drink options. Shuttle was good though. The beach is average - its nice that its on the end of the beach. The resort photographers are scammers - be cautious about spending too much money on those pictures - you may not be able to download them. You are treated very differently depending on what type of guest you are - condo users vs all inclusive vs not inclusive etc. The only pool with shade was closed all week for us - which made the only other tiny pool packed with people and nowhere to sit. Only one restaurant option.

Worst meals I have ever had + Absolutely the worst meal experience I have experienced , this refers to their meal plan Every day same offerings, limited choice, poor quality , I will say that staff were very friendly and helpful.

Amazing views + We went to Villa sol for our spring break, the views are breaktaking. We stayed at a premium ocean villa, its in high need of maintenance with minimal decor (63-1). And no toiletries except for hand soap. The buffet was not bad but needs more variety for children. We did end up moving to the Waldorf where it was an excellent property.
