Nice hotel with poor service and very old small rooms + Nice hotel with beautiful views and very close to Torres del Paine. Lovely pool and spa. Food is OK but not great. Service is very choppy and half of the staff are not well trained so I would avoid NY and other high seasons as they are at full capacity and with poor service experience drops dramatically. And rooms (standard and classic) are very tiny, dated and with no privacy. We booked 2 rooms together for a family and they put us in floor 4 and 1, despite confirming with front desk to be next or as close as possible 2 months prior to arrival. For the price and proposal as a high-end hotel, this was not the case. I would recommend staying somewhere else.

Spectacular views of the Mountains + This hotel is located in the middle of the Torres Del Paine National Park and is quite remote. I only stayed here for 2 nights as part of an organised tour. There is nothing else around apart from some ranch style places where you can do horse riding and I'm guessing there looked like there may have been accommodation for back packing travellers. The hotel has everything you will need for your stay, so no need to look for outside restaurants (which I don't think there were any) I ate both nights in the bar and the food was typical bar style food and very good. There was also a good atmosphere in the bar area and as a solo traveller I appreciated the opportunity to speak with other guests. There is also a fantastic spa area, where you can book treatments. Excellent Place for Torres Del Paine + From a breathtaking location that includes view of an awe inspiring mountain range with a meandering river in front and a glimpse of Grey lake, it transports you to a different world right on arrival. Then, you meet with warm service and well appointed rooms. You have a choice of two for your food and both serve great stuff. On top, the resort also organized open air grilling on all days. We also had a great 31st dinner with live music. The Massif did a massive job in organizing and executing all the trips that we undertook in and around the National Park. Starting from transport to guides to lunch everything was well taken care of. I would highly recommend this resort to everyone.

Great stay in Torres del Paine + Hotel Rio Serrano was a great hotel. We chose the All-Inclusive option which made organizing the transfers and excursions very simple and straightforward. The room was spacious and very clean. The views of the mountains were incredible. The hotel is located just outside the national park but there seemed to be no difference in the atmosphere. All of the staff were attentive and spoke English, which also made things easy. Would absolutely recommend.

If you value a sense of space, the standard room may leave you disappointed + We stayed in a Standard Room on a Full Board basis for 900+ USD per day, and unfortunately, it did not live up to the price tag. The room felt small for the premium price we paid even with the full board. The main issue was the layout and lack of views; there were no side windows, only a roof window. This made the space feel enclosed and disconnected from the surroundings. At nearly a thousand dollars a day, I would have expected a better experience and a proper view. The Full Board inclusion was convenient, but the room itself lacked the luxury and atmosphere necessary to justify the high cost. Summary: Poor value for money. If you value natural light and a sense of space, the standard room may leave you disappointed

Wish Our Stay was Longer + We had 2 superior rooms side by side, at the end of a long corridor in the corner. The corner room has a balcony which overlooked the river so had the best views. We were on full-board & ate at both the restaurant (which required dinner reservations in advance) as well as the bar. The food in both places was superb although personally, I preferred the bar fare. There was also food samplers of roasted lamb on 2 evenings during our stay. The lamb was very tender and delicious! Unfortunately we didn’t have time to use any other hotel facilities as every day was too packed with action in the Torres del Paine national park. Wish we could have stayed longer…

The best Hotel ever!!!! + This place is awesome!!! Rio Serrano has now become our favorite property. The natural beauty obvious, but the detail, cleanliness, attentive staff all around were extra special! They make people feel welcomed and cared for. The food is amazing! We were constantly in awe. I highly recommend doing the full board option. We met new friends in both other travelers and staff. The care for the environment and region was also very special. We can't wait to come back! Our room was a Superior view and well worth it. You almost don't want to leave your room with such a view! Very well decorated. The special tea when we came back from a late excursion was very kind. The Massif tours are very well done. Guides were very knowledgeable. You really learn a lot and feel fully cared for. The extras at the top of the hikes are simple kind. Wonderful Stay + Lovely stay at Hotel Río Serrano. Beautiful & incredibly peaceful setting, surrounded by wide open landscapes that really let you slow down. Rooms were clean & comfortable…perfect after long hiking days. We stayed on a full-board plan, with all meals & drinks taken care of. Packed breakfasts & lunches can be arranged if heading out early, which was very convenient. The food was great & the massage after the Base Torres hike was absolutely out of this world…one of the best ways to recover. Friendly staff and a relaxed, well-taken-care-of stay. After 4 days of comfort, we were sad to leave.

Practically Perfect in every way + The Mary Poppins of Chilean hotels- practically perfect in every way! From the moment we arrived this hotel was definitely going to be different! Reception were great especially at understanding my problems with leaving a credit card deposit. (I only bought 1 producer card on holiday and the pin did not work . I rely on Google wallet... Not a good idea!) Our classic room is fairly small but has everything that we need. It seems that the classic rooms get lovely views of the car park. The shower is overhead only not good for the ladies. To incredibly unique features of all the hotels that we have been in Chile... The electrical sockets in the bedrooms take a UK plug! And there are water machines in receptions and the corridors which dispense water cold, hot and even sparkling! Great Stay! + The hotel, amenities and the staff are excellent! I do not remember everyone by name but each and every staff member I met was very sweet and helpful! Only The Massif who I booked the transfers with did not coordinate as well. But really not a complaint. The food is excellent, service even better and rooms really nice! You can sit and gaze at the Paine Massif all day from your room or the common lounges!

Torres del Paine visi + Nice location, spent 2 days at Rio Serrano hotel, first day in room not facing the mountains not worth the price, next day upgraded to the 3th floor, room facing the mountains was beautiful. Service was excellent , food was ok, the Cordero al Palo was delicious

Last minute visit to Patagonia + Beautiful location/views in the heart of Chilean Patagonia, with access to many activities within the national park. Facility is beautiful and comfortable. Maria Jose at the front desk was AMAZING. Out trip/flight to Antarctica got cancelled after 3 days of trying to fly over. So we decided to tour Patagonia instead, but we had no reservations (in late January, height of the season). We needed 6 consecutive nights. Maria Jose helped us to get 5 of the nights booked at Rio Serrano (and she even gave us a superior room for 3 of those nights). And for the 1 night there was no availability at Rio Serrano, she helped us get in with one of the other hotels close by, just to sleep for the night. We really appreciated it. Paula at the bar downstairs was also wonderful. She served us every evening when we went down for dinner and drinks. Very professional and friendly.

Short trip before an Antarctica cruise + Beautiful hotel with outstanding views of the park. The affiliated guide service was exceptional. Guides were experienced and knowledgeable. Having the office in the lobby was convenient. We hike to the Torres and did the Serrano River cruise to Serrano Glacier. Both were great, but believe them when they tell you the hike is strenuous. We did full board for meals and everything was excellent including service. Make sure you get some lamb if it’s being barbecued outside! Final advice. We rented a car in Punta Arenas and it was great to have our own transportation. Be sure and check the tires! Dirt roads were rough in spots. We didn’t have a problem but the tires were in bad shape!

A gem of a hotel with views to die for + The location of the hotel makes it easy to access all that the national park has to offer. The staff were helpful and always cheerful. The rooms have the most amazing view and one should sleep with the curtains open to catch a starry night or a colourful sunfish. The breakfast has a wide variety of offerings and the food is generally good. The restaurant is often very busy and you may need to be prepared to wait awhile but you have that view to distract you. The swimming pool is excellent, very clean, water very warm and slippers and robe provided. We discovered on leaving that the goodies in the fridge were included in the bed rate!

Never wanted to leave + My husband and I just visited the Rio Serrano for our honeymoon and I am so sad we left. Everything about our experience was amazing: the staff, the food, the room, the view, the spa services. The staff knows what you need before you even know you need it. They are attentive, kind and always have a smile on their faces. Special shout out to Hector from the waitstaff, he is made for hospitality. He did a great job fielding my many questions, cracking jokes and letting his personality shine through. The food was delicious especially the mocktails and the desserts. Highly recommend the dessert of the day and the Katsu sandwiches. I could go on and on about how much we loved this place. 10/10 would recommend to anyone as a great place to come back to after a day of Torres Del Paine activities

Like a bus station in the mountains! + This is a relatively large, new hotel in Torres del Paine. The location is magnificent, with amazing views of the mountains from most of the rooms and the restaurant and common areas. Unfortunately, while the hotel has some great features (the pool and spa, for example), it tends to feel large and impersonal. It hosts a lot of bus trips of people on cruises who come up to the park for the day - in and out. The restaurant is large and mediocre (food and service). Fortunately the bar downstairs has better service and a more interesting menu and we ate there whenever we could. It is also possible to hike around the island the hotel is on or up into the nearby hills to get great views of the area and of hidden lakes among the woods.

Beautiful setting, excellent cuisine, and truly exceptional staff + Our stay was truly wonderful. The hotel has breathtaking views of the Paine Massif and provides a perfect base for exploring Patagonia. The service was outstanding from the moment we arrived. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The food was also excellent—every meal was beautifully prepared and delicious after a long day of hiking in the park. We are especially grateful to Isidora from the guest relations team. Her kindness and professionalism meant a lot to us.

Worth every penny + It’s not cheap, but it offers a great place to stay while we encountered the worst storm of the season. It has amenities and facilities for killing time. The restaurants are also reasonably priced. The room is clean and comfortable.
