Great Getaway! + Beautiful, unique hotel. The Rooftop Restaurant was fantastic - delicious food and friendly, helpful staff. Location perfect for us as we were going to an event at History, but tram stops right out front so we were easily able to get around the city. Fun neighborhood bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

A unique, boutique hotel which I look forward to revisiting. + In general, this boutique hotel, a landmark building in the Riverdale area of Toronto beautifully restored while retaining much of it s historic charm, was immaculately clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast at the scenic 7th floor Rooftop bistro was excellent, in particular the Smoked Salmon Royale with a side of avocado. There was a record turntable in the room and a library of music available to access. Thought that was a nice touch. Given my short stay, I felt that there was still much about the hotel to explore and discover. − I spent the first hour on my arrival looking for a parking space and ended up at a Green P lot across the street which required three renewals over the length of my one-night stay for a total cost of $45.00. The hotel has a few spaces available down the lane beside the hotel for $28.00 a night but it is first come first served. I was obviously second come. Value for mon…

A great view on the rooftop patio during happy hour. + A fun sunny afternoon on the rooftop patio of the Broadview hotel during happy hour. The Margarita's were delicious. Our group of 4 shared the calamari , the truffle fries and the mushroom dumplings and everything was very tasty. But the most outstanding part of our experience was our wonderful server, and I am sorry I did not get his name. He was so friendly and attentive! He went to great lengths to move 2 patio umbrellas for us when we were getting too much sun, he was interested in making sure we had the best time!

Frustrating experience + I tried to book a room for 4 days for an out-of-town guest. They needed a credit card validation, which made sense. The only two ways to validate my card were to use the app they used or to go to the hotel in person. The app didn't work for me (and others they admitted) because it couldn't recognize the scans of my driver's licence. I called and asked if I could send scans of my ID to the hotel directly. This wasn't an option for some unknown reason. They said I needed to come to the hotel in person or to stay somewhere else. When I asked what someone who lived in France was expected to do if their app wasn't working, their response was that the reservation would not be possible. I booked my guest at the King Edward (same $500/night rate) without any issues. The group that owns the hotel has a beautiful property but they have no idea how to run a hotel. I contacted the owner group, Archive, and got the same silly justification ... use the app that doesn't work…

We had to move rooms from 6th floor because a party was going to be loud and late on 7th floor + Good value and friendly − Not great location and quite noisy

Love it! + It’s a great characterful building with nice touches in the room and well laid out. − It’s getting a little tired around the edges now, at this price it needs a touch up.

+ I liked the kettle in the room and the big glasses for water. The ease to get drinking water was also phenomenal. During one of my two stays, the blanket was enclosed in a sheet pocket, which kept the blanket completely inside and made the bed very comfortable. − No microwave in the room. During my other stay, the blanket was placed between two separate sheets. The blanket easily slipped out of the sheets, which was less comfortable and inconvenient.

Ottimale per la vicinanza al centro di Toronto, ma tranquillo per soggiornare. + Ottima posizione, buona colazione, bar ben rifornito con caffè espresso italiano in camera; giradischi con ottima musica retrò….In corridoio rubinetti per acqua gassata e liscia fresca. Clima cordiale, personale gentile. Dalla sala colazione, si possono scorgere gli scoiattoli che corrono sui fili dei tram.😍
