+ Location is what we needed. Pleasant front desk. Clean and quiet room. Excellent coffee shop downstairs.

+ The location was good. − The Breakfast though paid had limited options. Also the toilet flush was not so strong. I had to fill up water in a bucket to completely flush after using the toilet. The lighting in the room was not very good and user friendly and I had to call the customer service for instructions on how to switch off the lights before I slept. Further there was no intercom phone to call the front desk in case of any requirement.

Great location - fun property! + Great location - we walked everywhere. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is so fun - love the "terrace" area. The room is clean and has everything we need. Appreciate the recycling bin too.

Affordable housing in downtown Vancouver + Location is superb. Very affordable. − Building is a little rundown as are the rooms.

Clean and tidy budget hotel in Vancouver + Proximity to restaurants and cruise port. Clean rooms. Comfortable bed with good pillows. Staff are great. Great little cafe for breakfast downstairs. − Right across the road from a hospital. A lot of sirens literally all day and night. Extremely noisy. Air conditioner is a portable unit that is extremely noisy. If you are a light sleeper this isn’t the place for you. Bathroom sink is so small you can’t wash your face properly in it. The rooms are quite dated. However with the cost of accommodation being so high in Vancouver it would be expected that it won’t be better quality.

One night + Cute styling, on-site parking was very convenient. Nice coffee shop adjoined. Beautiful atrium and plants. Beds and bedding were comfy. Enjoyed nespresso machine and fridge. − Love love love the aspiration to refresh a vintage property, but it remains tired. The bathroom was small and not particularly clean-looking by virtue of its age - small sink, old tub, cheap toilet paper. The air conditioner unit was very loud.

$500/night all-in/room seems expensive for the quality of the accommodations. + The place was well located, staff friendly, attached cafe was nice, water and nespresso nice touches. I actually really liked the clever signs that were put up around the property, it gave the place edge. − I think the photos make it look more fresh than it actually is.

Very Comfortable and Excellent Value for Money + This is a very comfortable budget hotel, and we enjoyed it more than the two more expensive hotels we also stayed in, at various times in Vancouver. A very welcoming and accommodating reception staff; we arrived at 8.30 a.m. expecting to leave our bags and fill in the day. We were informed that if we cared to wait, they would get a room ready for us and so by 9.30 a.m. we were enjoying a coffee from the pod machine in our room. We were also informed that if we needed more pods or milk to just ask at reception - later on in our stay we did, and they were provided. Nightly mocktails and snacks in reception, a modern funky decor, comfortable bedding, air conditioning and smart TVs have lifted a tired old 60s era motel into a very enjoyable staying experience.
