Good room with wonderful views + We recently stayed 2 nights in a harbour view room on level 30. The room was a good size and in great condition being recently renovated. The bed was comfortable and the room was pretty quiet for sleeping. We had wonderful views of Stanley Park and the harbour. There are plenty of lifts so we didn't ever have to wait long (even though the hotel was super busy) and they were very fast too. All staff we encountered were very friendly, helpful and efficient. We ate 4 meals in the Showcase Restaurant in the lobby and they were excellent. We would not normally eat so much at the hotel but we genuinely found the meals delicious. We would not hesitate in staying again.

Very pleasant and relaxing. + Location excellent. Buffet breakfast was standard, more variety would be attractive. − Not getting a printed departure receipt of my total bill.

We stayed for a couple days to look explore Vancouver, and had a great time and loved the hotel and staff. + The property was great. It was clean, modern, and had good food. The staff was also amazing, and always willing to accommodate us, especially the housekeeping I believe the woman who cleaned our room was named was Yordanos. She was very kind and tidied up our rooms very well and left everything neat! − Nothing, everything was great.

Odd place + The hotel is conveniently located for the waterfront near Canada Place. While it may think of itself as a 5 star property it does live up to 5 star expectations. For instance, the hotel has an executive lounge for people with Marriott status or who pay for the more expensive rooms but one must climb 13 steps to reach it. When I asked at the front desk how handicapped people could access the lounge I was told they could be brought up by a limited access elevator and enter through the food prep area. The breakfast choices were slightly better than what one finds in one of Marriott’s roadside motels. The lounge is also too small for the number of people who want to use it. The hotel’s restaurant serves good food but has a very limited menu. The public facilities (restrooms, etc) need to be refurbished. They are showing their age. Our room, on the 27th floor, has been modernized, but not wisely. Very little room for unpacked clothing and almost no counter space in the bathroo…

Could have been better. Staff needs training in customer care and good listening skills. Respect for customers is a non + The property has an excellent location- close to convention centre and harbour. − The reception was not professional and not the mark of hospitality expected of the brand.
