Delightful Daiichi + We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and could not fault it. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet and very spacious. We tried both breakfast areas and loved them both. There was plenty to choose from. The staff were extremely accommodation and helpful. Checking and out was simple. Location wise it was perfect to get to stations. I would definitely stay here again.

+ Location is very convenient to shopping and dinning. Private hotel only connection to major train station is undeniably the best thing about this hotel. Cleanliness of the room was good but not great. Overall the property and rooms need a renovation. Room is dated but still presented nicely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Right in front of the hotel is a bus transportation service to Narita airport which was only $36 one way and allowed 2 pieces of luggage, no hassle way to get to the airport.

+ We loved the staff and the rooms were great. The trains can be heard but didn’t bother us.

Elegant Hotel in Strategic Location + We stayed for 4 nights at the hotel and we really enjoyed our time. The hotel had an elegant feel to it. The service was excellent. The hotel is strategically located with a plethora of restaurants close by, and is an excellent base to discover Tokyo

+ Is an old hotel but well kept. Good service. Great location within 3 min walk to metro and JR line. You won’t get to be hungry here, food choices are plentiful and it’s also a busy drinking area. Just beside Ginza.

+ The hotel is very deluxe and the staff were very friendly and helpful . The room and bathroom were quite spacious compared to the 3 other hotels . The room came with a kettle , fridge and safe and the linens and beds were very comfortable . The room came with all the amenities in the room replaced on a daily basis. We booked a moderate twin room and I would stay here again without question. The train station was a few minute walk away as well as the shopping and restaurants.

+ Good location. Good size room . Great dining close by. Close to the transport system. Lacked a bar. Not much seating in lobby area ( hence 4x)

+ Being close to the Ginza area made it very convenient for shopping and food. The trains were right across the street

+ Stayed here a year ago. Loved it so much that we came back for 5 night stay. Walking distance to Ginza and train station. Surrounded by all kind of eateries and bars and restaurants. 5 minutes walk to Donki is a plus. Enjoyed the gym next door with indoor pool and sauna. Will definitely stay here again.

Hood location at shimbashi station area + Great location at shimbashi station area. You should ask for a quiet room because it is very close to the ststion Service was great, breakfast could be improved. Price a bit high for a hotel that advertise a pool and gym space while they are across the street and sur charge.

A classy hotel but very dated. + Dai-ichi Hotel used to be one of the top hotels in Tokyo about 40 years ago. It’s still a classy hotel with good service and the location is excellent. However, everything is so old and dated, in need of a major renovation. The bathtub drained so slowly and it backed up and flooded the whole bathroom! The elevators are so small and slow- a long wait every time. All the bad things that come with an ancient hotel were there. If the rate is much lower, I would consider staying there again since I love the location, but for over 50,000yen a night, not a chance.

Our 2nd visit to Dai Ichi Hotel Tokyo Within Last 6 Months! + My family stayed at Dai Ichi Hotel Tokyo at Superior Twin Room for two nights (24/1 & 25/1) for the second time in the last six months (whereby the first time was in 10/8 -13/8 for three nights). Overall, we re-booked the hotel as we have a wonderful stay and memories from the last visit. The positives of this hotel have always been: 1) convenient location at Shimbashi to nearby restaurants and easy walking distance to Ginza shopping district, 2) good value for a 5 stars hotel (versus other 5 stars hotel for that period we visited), 3) quality buffet breakfast, 4) spacious bathroom, 5) helpful conceirge team and luggage handling staff, 6) hotel with various restaurants to choose (eg teppanyaki, sushi, lobby lounge, French, bar), 6) comfortable bed room with well equipped amenities/functions, 7) accessible to Shimbashi train station, 8) complimentary newspaper (English or Japanese) each morning, 9) Airport Bus access …

Premier stay in premier floor + I recommend upgrading to a premier room on the premier floors for a better quality room, minibar perks, and access to the club lounge, which was really excellent. High quality food and drinks, with a fantastic view. They also offered a small breakfast there which I actually preferred over the buffet. It was also possible to have in-room breakfast (no additional cost) so we chose the Japanese set, very substantial. Apart from a slow check in, in part because of Japan hotel's insistence to use endless paper coupons that need to ge stamped and counted, you really can't beat the location in Shimbashi, access to amenities, short walk to Hibiya and Ginza, hundreds of restaurants minutes away. Recommend.
