A perfect home from home + We have just had a wonderful 11 night stay in Povoa de Varzim. This was one of the rare occasions in life where the photos did not do justice to the real apartment - it was even more beautiful and perfect than we expected. The location is excellent, right by the best, most popular section of the beach, with a supermarket, bakeries and restaurants all within easy walking distance. The apartment truly has everything you could need for a fantastic self-catering holiday: all the necessary kitchen equipment, a washing machine and tumble dryer, a beach umbrella and a windbreak. It is also stocked with shampoo, and conditioner, cleaning products, essential cooking ingredients, etc, so that it really does feel like a home from home. (Just to note: we were asked to provide a EUR200 cash deposit on arrival, against any damage - this was returned to us when we checked out.) Povoa de Varzim is a lovely little town which is a holiday destination mostly for Portuguese …
