Fantastic Stay at the Floating Villa in Bergen + We had a wonderful stay at the floating villa in Bergen, Norway. The location is unique and offers a special experience, being accessible only by boat. This made our arrival exciting and memorable. The villa was very clean and well-maintained, with luxurious furnishings throughout. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the bedrooms were comfortable with quality bedding. We also appreciated having a washing machine, which was very convenient. There were plenty of activities to enjoy, such as stand-up paddling and kayaking, which allowed us to explore the beautiful surroundings right from our doorstep. The setting was peaceful and perfect for relaxation. Our host was incredibly kind and helpful, providing us with all the information we needed and making sure we felt welcome during our stay. Unique nature get - beautiful! Would definitely stay here again + This floating house is very private and in-tune with nature! It overlooks a peninsula covered with different sea birds. We enjoyed watching the birds hunt and dive for fish and watching fish and jellyfish swim by from the house, deck and hot tub. The owner is very hospitable and was easy to reach for check in - he personally showed us how to use everything needed and allowed us to take the small boat with a troll motor to/from and around the island (staying close so you don’t go near the main channel where the cruise ships are), use kayaks, hot and cold tubs and fishing gear. − The upstairs bathroom had a laundry room closet the needed aired out. There was a strong smell (not sure if maybe laundry soaps, cleaning chemicals, or mildew) that gave us a headache to sleep in that room without the windows wide open to air it out. There are many bedrooms so we ended up all sleeping comfortably on the main floor.
