Quiet area, a wee bit out of town but walkable. However there are supermarkets close by. + Very helpful staff. Good size, had all amenities we required including laundry facilities. A cosy stay. − Nothing we didn’t like.

Comfortable, convenient, rooms close to supermarkets, restaurants, and whale watching. Really liked. + This is a basic accommodation - no pools, gymnasium or business centre - but was super comfortable, spacious, and a pretty easy walk (and a very comfortable drive) into the centre of town. Our 9-year-old son loved having Netflix on demand (we don't have it at home) and wants us to go back. Simple kitchen in the room - refrigerator and stovetop - would have allowed us to self-cater in the room. Parking just outside the room. Minimal contact with office staff, but rooms reliably serviced with new coffee and towels each day. Also had guest laundry facilities that we did not need. But super convenient. We will stay here again when we next return to Kaikoura. − No real presence in the front office, but we didn't need anything. A great place that has truly exceeded the expectations. Value for the money! + Clean, cosy, great facility. Feels like home and has some paid channels available on the tv. − Bed is just slightly soft but it doesn’t affect the good facility it is.

+ A very comfortable bed with good shower. Liked the very concise text I received the morning of my check 8n with all relevant details as well as code for door with clear instructions. Have stayed numerous times and never been let down. Highly recommended. − The shower head needs attention as it is leaking a lot of water out of the head.
