Comfortable and great meals. − Room a bit small but ok for a short stay

Classic grand old hotel almost fully renovated + Newly refurbished rooms. Good parking. Great location. − I don't mind renovation happening but maybe some compensation would be appropriate.

Beautiful old building, nice to see the hotel being brought back to the original grandeur + We originally booked a Standard Double room, when we went to the room, we found it very small and decided to see if we could possibly get a larger room, the loverly lady at reception was able to accommodate us. The new room was very large and very well appointed. They have done a very great job with the upgrades and renovations. Loved the wonderful vibe within the hotel. Good parking facility across the road. − When we moved, we were warned that contractors were working on the floor below us and would finish up soon but restart again at 7:30am. So, we were prepared. Not really a negative, as I understand that they are doing the place up. Would like to revisit one all works are done Only drawback a bit difficult to find. Maybe more signage at the intersection

Noise + Was so noisy couldn't hear myself think, let alone have a conversation. Barman turned music down a little but nowhere near enough. I can't imagine how he would think a bunch of pensioners would possibly like what he was so selfishly playing. We would have stayed for desert and more drinks but had to leave.

Convenient place to stay + Meals were good − Very thin walls between rooms. I had someone banging on the wall when I had tv on which was right down low so I then felt unable to watch tv which was annoying as it wasn’t after nine .
