Great hospitality, ideal location, great price for what you get. + La Pota’s location in Split is literally across the street from the palace. The room we were in gave us a view of the harbor. The host, Toni, was over the top hospitable in meeting us on the street when we were unable to locate our room, helped us bring up our luggage 3 flights of stairs and had wonderful suggestions for meals. The bathroom is roomy and had a great shower. If we ever come back to Croatia, this will be where we will stay.

Amazing host, very comfortable room, and amazing location. The balcony was fantastic. + Toni, the host, met us at the door for easy check-in, was friendly, made sure we had what we needed, and was very helpful with suggestions during our stay. − The refrigerator was in a closed cabinet that got hot inside and would perform better and last longer in a ventilated space. The entry and stairway motion sensor lights were slow to come on, so we found ourselves climbing stairs in the dark at times.

Un B&B in pieno Centro, proprio di fronte il Palazzo di Diocleziano + Il B&B è ubicato proprio di fronte l'ingresso del Palazzo di Diocleziano. E' situato al terzo piano di un antico edificio, ristrutturato ma non dispone di ascensore. Per nostra fortuna il proprietario Toni si è dimostrato da subito gentilissimo e disponibile ad aiutarci con i bagagli, dal parcheggio convenzionato al B&B e viceversa. La nostra stanza, con annesso bagno privato, era piccola ma pulita. A richiesta è disponibile un parcheggio convenzionato a circa 500 mt dal B&B al costo di € 15/gg. Ottimo il Wi-fi. − L'accesso alla stanza senza ascensore. Le dimensioni della camera e del bagno.

Fantastic stay! Would return! + If you’re able to handle going up and down 7 flights of (sometimes slippery) stone stairs (indoor) to reach these apartments, you won’t be disappointed! Excellent communication via Booking and WhatsApp in the lead-up to our stay, with a warm welcome from Toni upon arrival, who even helped us drag all our suitcases up the stairs. We were all super sweaty by the time we arrived, lol. Check in was not until 2pm, and Toni was gracious in permitting us to leave our luggage in La Porta until the rooms were ready. He even messaged us via WhatsApp well ahead of the scheduled check-in time to advise the rooms were ready and available for us — so sweet! We climbed the stairs again just before 2pm — and OMG we didn’t want to leave!!!! … everything was amazing, from having a safe in the room to the hidden fridge to the cute toiletries and the amazing view (we had the room with the balcony). We really can’t fault this place — but watch your head on some low ceil…

Very pleased with this booking. It was a short stay but we slept well before beginning our amazing Croatia vacation. + Conveniently located next to old town split. Clean room with excellent air conditioning especially considering the heat wave this summer. We were a little late arriving due to our flight and the owner accepted our phone call and provided the code to enter the building. Ice cold water was available in the lobby area. Nice touch. − This room is not for older persons who have difficulty climbing stairs.

Great stay, great location! + Very clean and decorated nicely. Close to everything in Old Town, but quiet. Bed was very comfortable. − We stayed on the top floor, which had a very nice room, but to get to it there as many steep flights of stairs. Nothing that can be fixed, as it is in an old building. Still, the room was very nice, so worth the climb.

+ We stayed for only one night but it met our expectations. The owner is super nice, helped with parking, luggage and gave a detailed explanation of our accommodation and surroundings. The rooms are located in the same street as the Silver Gate: a gate to the oldtown city centre. Also there is the big market one corner away. − The only thing I could say is that before noon the corridor was a bit noisy because of the cleaning and people checking out of the rooms, but just a minor inconvenience.

SUPERVERBLIJF IN SPLIT + De ligging, net tegenaan de zilveren poort van het oude paleis (oude stad). Prachtige ruime kamer met terrasje. Dit terrasje heeft uitzicht op de stadspoort en kerk. De supergastheer Toni. Hij wachtte ons op aan de parking toen we om 7u aankwamen met de ferry. Hij zorgde voor korting op de parking, en hielp mee de valiezen dragen naar ons verblijf (niet bereikbaar met auto). We mochten onze valiezen achterlaten daar de kamer nog niet vrij was. Na ons verblijf liep hij met ons mee terug naar de parking. Dit is een superverblijf. − NIETS. Geen nadeel, maar hou er rekening mee dat er geen lift is. Wel een ruime gemakkelijke trap.
