Beautiful Property, But Hospitality That Left Us Wishing We'd Stayed Elsewhere + The location overlooking Lake Gregory is genuinely beautiful. The rooms have a charming colonial feel and are comfortable enough. The pool is decent. If this were a property you just slept in and left, it would be fine. The place is well maintained and clean. − Day 1: We mentioned it was my father's birthday. The staff made an issue about the date not matching his passport. My father is 75 years old — back in his time in India, school records routinely assigned the same default birthday to students. We weren't asking for anything extraordinary. We even offered to pay for a cake. After the unnecessary fuss, they backtracked and said it was complimentary anyway. The damage was done — what should have been a sweet moment started with an argument. Day 2 Breakfast: We asked if we could have breakfast at one of the outdoor tables overlooking the lake. Great value for money and a beautiful property + Was very private and even though there were others in the properly we felt like we had the whole villa to ourselves. It’s designed well − Breakfast was very normal. The bread was not toasted and crisp when we received it. Croissant didn’t taste good, felt like margarine or bad butter was used. Other than this we enjoyed the breakfast.

Highly recommended. Feels like staying in a real home. + Beautiful location. The views from the veranda are wonderful yet it is only a short distance from the town. There is no reception desk. Which feels odd at first but is consistent with the hotel creating a “home from home” feel where you can just walk from the lawns into the lounge. Both breakfast and dinner were superb experiences

Lovely few days in Nuwara Eliya - perfect location . + The location was perfect . The staff were so friendly and helpful with everything we needed . − The restaurant was having work done - ( which I understand it needs to be done ) however we weren’t told when we booked . This meant we had no choice but to eat out and there was alot of noise during the day , as a result of the work . Also we had to move rooms due to a hot water issue - the staff were very apologetic in both this scenarios

A Cozy, Intimate Escape with Exceptional Personalized Hospitality + We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay at W15 Lake Gregory. What a beautiful little boutique hotel! With only six rooms, it has an intimate, homely atmosphere that makes you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. The indoor swimming pool was a lovely addition and made our stay even more enjoyable. The weather in Nuwara Eliya was wonderfully cool during our visit, around 17–19°C during the day and 12–13°C at night. The occasional thunderstorms and showers added to the charm, creating the perfect atmosphere for quiet, cozy evenings in front of the fireplaces. What truly stood out for us was the highly personalized and genuinely thoughtful service. From the moment we arrived, throughout our time at the hotel, and even in the way meals were planned and arranged in advance, everything felt carefully considered and tailored to us. Gorgeous hotel. Best in Nuwara Eliyah according to our driver! + Absolutely stunning hotel. Beautiful views and excellent staff. Room was extremely comfortable with a great bathroom. Perfect for the one night we stayed. It would have been nice to have stayed longer.
