Awesome place to stay especially if you are heading to Te Rapa Races. Short walk which was great. Such a big complex an + The location for us was fantastic. The staff were friendly. Clean and comfortable − It was just a shame the TV in the bar area wasn’t great. We were wanting to watch the Rugby Test and wasn’t great quality.

Did not meet expectations + The showers had great pressure − First Night – Initial Room The shower enclosure leaked significantly, resulting in a large amount of water escaping onto the bathroom floor. Despite using the provided shower mats and towels, the floor became extremely wet, creating a slip hazard when accessing the toilet. That evening, I also received multiple bites on my legs shortly after getting into bed. To avoid further bites, I slept on top of the bed for the remainder of the night. The staff were very apologetic and advised that they could move us to a different room for the following night. Second Night – New Room Upon entering the new room, we plugged in our laptops to complete some work before heading out. Almost immediately, there was a loud "poof" sound and the power to the entire room failed. We reported the issue to reception straight away. The receptionist was excellent—professional, helpful, and responsive. Unfortunately, her supervisor was dismissive…

Average + Breakfast was a good spread and options for kids. Staff was friendly and welcoming. − The bedding was dirty but they changed it real fast. It could do with an upgrade. The water in the lobby bathrooms was beyond freezing and no warm water to wash hands. It was extremely cold. Some of the things at breakfast could be a bit fresher (nuts/fruits). The rooms we booked had a bath and we got upgraded to another room without a bath.

+ Room was spacious, plenty of towels and toiletries, comfortable beds − Couldn't sleep due to intermittent noise from external ac unit, which came on for 5 minutes and then went off for 5 minutes all night. Spoke to receptionist at 2am who said they would make a note. Did consider sleeping in the car or in the corridor

− The room was tidy but the entrance etc was a little neglected and needs updating. As in removal of the cracked/broken tiles at the entrances.
