This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. + Very basic accommodation. Good for those who prefer hostels/motels. − If you are used to nice hotels, this place is not for you. The location is in a shady part of the city and we felt unsafe as a family. The bedsheets were not ironed. There was a dead bug in the room. There was dust, the place was not taken care of properly. The walls were bare with paintings missing and the bedroom looked like a hospital room. The dining table and blinds were dirty. The view from the kitchen was garbage disposal, also very dirty. Washroom was very depressing. No sense of hospitality: the heater was not turned on upon our arrival, no dim lights to set the mood of arrival, no fresh flowers or welcome snacks.

Really comfortable, great location, all amenities necessary for a great stay but without being overly plush + Superb location, in the heart of all the action. All necessary amenities and great facilities. − Street side so a little noisy at times during the night with traffic but after a long day sightseeing we paid no attention to any noise outside.

This was a perfectly adequate stay in Reykjavik. Clean and comfortable. Good location and well equipped. + Location was very good. Close to main street in Reykjavik. Comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. Easy check in and out. − The only coffee maker was a small Nespresso. Would have liked a regular maker as well.
