A perfect hotel for a visit to Bern which is extremely well located, very comfortable, peaceful and has great views of t + This is a wonderful hotel with a recent history of refurbishment under the current owners. The property has been tastefully restored to its original style. We were fortunate to meet Marian who owns the hotel together with her husband and they have every reason to be proud of their achievement. The location is ideal for a short bus ride (4 minutes) to Bern city centre and the bus stop is just across the road from the hotel. The views from the terrace are also wonderful, both of the city and the alps in the background. The Jazz Club in the basement is a famous Bern venue and has hosted many stars over the years including Ella Fitzgerald and Oscar Peterson. The hotel is very comfortable with spacious rooms, extremely well run, very clean and all the staff were very helpful and looked like they enjoyed their jobs. + Das Hotel hat ein besondres Flair und Atmosphäre, sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Es liegt etwas außerhalb der Stadtmitte, jedoch mit dem Fahrrad und Bus optimal gelegen. Wunderschöner Garten mir altem Baumbestand.

A very charming unique place to stay in Bern. + The staff was unusually cordial and helpful. The Jazz theme of the place was interesting and added character. The gardens looking out to the city was also a great amenity. − The bus line serving the hotel was re-routed, and the hotel didn't let us know. We came back late at night and had to walk a ways from the re-routed line.
