Outstanding hotel in Rio - a classy sanctuary + This hotel is like a sanctuary, away from the crazy hustle and bustle of Rio. It's very beautiful, in a converted old coffee plantation. The staff were very helpful, they organised a terrific guide and driver for us which was a brilliant way to see the city's main sights. The restaurant's breakfast was exceptional. The pool bar was fantastic after a long hot day too. Santa Teresa is the best location to stay away from the iconic beaches. There's some great local bars and restaurants that are very close too, − Honestly the only thing I didn't like was the toilet issue .. having to place dirty toilet paper in a bin next the toilet is something I will never get used to! We accidentially blocked the toilet on the first night! But the staff fixed the issue very quickly and explained the protocol.

Worth the stop for a drink + We stopped in for a drink at the pool bar while wandering around Santa Teresa. Lovely venue, gorgeous views, delicious spritz, and very friendly service from Alex. Definitely with the stop.

Personal touch in everything! + Fantastic atmosphere, super accommodating staff that listens to you and is very helpful, rooms are beautiful with real flowers in pots and art works. Late check out was complimentary and hot tub is a bonus after a long flight.

Jazz night + Amazing jazz night at the bar by the pool, beautiful view, nice friendly staff. I just wish they had heating on! In a rare weather situation for Rio, it was shivering!🥶 Alex and Henrique are the best!!
